Let’s celebrate together. On Tuesday night of Connection 2011 in Columbus, Ohio, when the faith promise cards and offering were counted, the total was an astounding $967,000! By the end of Connection 2011, we received additional verbal commitments raising the total of the offering and faith promises to exceed the $1 million mark!

Would you pause just now and give the Lord praise for this record-breaking offering for world missions? One elder in our movement said that, as far as he could remember, nothing like this has ever happened in our Foursquare history.

On behalf of the all of our FMI missionaries and the Missions Committee, I want to thank you for your generous act of faith in funding the expansion of the gospel throughout the world. The step of faith you have taken, along with your fellow Foursquare pastors across the U.S., will help fund strategies to reach more people who have not yet been reached with the gospel of Jesus.

These additional funds will help expand the kingdom of God through our FMI missionaries and partnering national churches as we open new nations and people-groups; develop leaders to be released into the harvest; and plant healthy, reproducing churches in world-class cities. The area missionaries and the FMI team are finalizing these missional priorities, and we are looking forward to updating you on all that God is doing around the world in the months ahead.

I pray the blessing that Paul prayed over those who gave generously to the cause of Christ:

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God” (2 Cor. 9:10-11, NIV).

May God richly bless you and your congregation as we all partner together to reach the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
