It is crucial that we truly love and welcome those Jesus described as “the least” in Matthew 25, says Foursquare Pastor John Wiley.

In this QuickTalk, recorded live at Foursquare Connection 2015 in Anaheim, Calif., the senior pastor of River Church Family (Kansas City East Foursquare Church) in Raytown, Mo., says that real love can be raw and messy: “the kind that costs.”

This means accepting those who make us feel uncomfortable, and welcoming people despite the danger that some might confuse acceptance with “approval of all that they do,” he notes. But if we don’t make room for these kinds of people, he says, the younger generation will keep “heading for the [exit] doors of our churches.”
