Ted Olbrich
Ted Olbrich

Ted Olbrich, longtime Foursquare missionary worker to Cambodia, went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2023, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He was 76 years old.

Ted and Sou have served together in Cambodia for over 25 years. When the Olbrichs first arrived in Cambodia, there was one small Foursquare church. Today, Foursquare Cambodia continues to be a thriving church movement under the national leadership of Sou Olbrich, along with the Cambodian leaders in whom the Olbrichs have invested.

In addition, Ted and Sou founded Foursquare Children of Promise International (FCOP International). This organization is dedicated to seeing Cambodia come to holistic health in Christ by setting up refuge centers that meet the urgent needs of orphaned, abandoned and separated children, and widows. During their time in Cambodia, Ted and Sou have cared for more than 20,000 of these children, with many establishing home groups after they grow up and leave the refuge center, thereby contributing to Foursquare’s rapid growth.

Ted Vail, D.I.S., vice president of global operations for The Foursquare Church, recalls: “Ted Olbrich was a rugged, anointed and innovative pioneer missionary worker. He loved the Cambodians so much and gave his life daily to see Christ known in word, actions and the demonstration of the Spirit.”

Please join us in praying for Sou, their four children, five grandchildren and the Cambodian Foursquare Church.

“We are grateful for Ted Olbrich’s legacy and pray the works that the Olbrichs started will continue for generations; this is our missiology,” says Paul Greer, director of Foursquare Missions International.

Memorial service details will be added to this article once they become available.
