What is going to change this next generation for the Lord is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
In Acts 11, Peter addressed believers who were questioning his interactions with Gentiles and whether they could be saved. He explained: “As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as He had come on us at the beginning. Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ So if God gave them the same gift He gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?” (vv. 15-17, NIV).
This summer, every district is working hard to make camp happen for our youth, ages 8 to 18. Camp is a powerful experience the Lord can use to transform this next generation of youth to find their identity in Christ.
“Please stand with me and pray that the Holy Spirit would come upon our youth from the moment the camp speaker gets up to speak, and that God would bring transformation to this next generation of leaders.”
I have been a camp director for our Colorado camps for the past 14 years. I know I can’t lead camp without the support of the church praying for the students, leaders and campgrounds.
We as Foursquare leaders know God can do the miraculous if we join together and pray for the Holy Spirit to fall on each campground across the nation. We need God to overtake these camps and start a revival among our elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools.
Transformation happens when the body of Christ comes together to pray for change. We need to see the power of the Holy Spirit transform our youth to mighty warriors for the Lord.
Please stand with me and pray that the Holy Spirit would come upon our youth from the moment the camp speaker gets up to speak, and that God would bring transformation to this next generation of leaders.
- Pray for leaders to be open to the move of the Lord.
- Pray for every student to walk away from camp fully armed with the armor of God.
- Pray for protection and unity among our youth, and for God to raise up an army to serve together.
- Pray for healing for those who come from broken families.
- Pray for deliverance for those who have been deceived by the lies of the enemy.
