It is my responsibility and privilege to share with you an important decision made by the Foursquare cabinet regarding the leadership of our denomination.
After deliberation, consideration and prayer, the Foursquare cabinet, per bylaw 7.1.2.J.5, has recommended Pastor Randy Remington be ratified for a second term as president. As a reminder, the Foursquare cabinet comprises elected credentialed ministers—spanning generations, elders and rising leaders, and women and men from various cultural contexts. The cabinet includes the board of directors, supervisors, and representation from U.S. districts, chaplains and missionary workers. This recommendation reflects the collective affirmation and belief in Pastor Randy’s spiritual direction, servant leadership, commitment, and alignment with the identity and mission of The Foursquare Church.
As Foursquare credentialed ministers, your input and participation are crucial in this process. We encourage you to participate in the upcoming ratification proceedings, either through engagement during the business session at convention (Foursquare Connection) or through absentee voting, which has been authorized per the bylaws by the board of directors. Your participation and contribution are vital to our overall health and growth.
In the next several weeks, we will communicate detailed information on how you can be engaged in the ratification process. Additional communication regarding Pastor Randy’s heart behind allowing his name to stand for a second term and more about his vision for the future is also forthcoming.
