Together, 123 donors and churches gave gifts ranging from $15 – $20,000 for a total of $67,794.25 raised in response to our FMI 2012 Children’s Christmas Offering!

In cooperation with our FMI area missionaries and the Foursquare Missions Committee, the decision was made to distribute these funds to benefit the following children’s ministry projects around the world.

Indonesia: Foursquare homes for orphans; education; food; shelter; clothing
Papua New Guinea: Food and outreach to children in the Port Moresby city dump
Fiji/Tonga: Events to reach disadvantaged children throughout these island nations
Kiribati: Reaching children from six villages recently opened to Foursquare ministry
Haiti: Build a bakery in Torcel to feed orphans and provide income to clothe them
Cambodia: Ministry to orphans and care to children and families
Niger: Spiritual and physical care of children from largely unreached people groups
Mali: Education and health care for thousands of neglected and impoverished children
Senegal: Ministry to orphans and care to children and families
MENACA (Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia): Orphans in an extremely poor nation will receive care and education; ministry to children with cancer

It is difficult to imagine the awful conditions that face many children in the world today. As if war and famine were not enough, many of these children face starvation and have no home or family to care for them. Further, over 1.2 billion children in the world do not know Jesus Christ!

Missional experts agree about the importance of reaching a nation through its children. Patrick Johnstone, author of The Future of the Global Church, emphatically says the effectiveness of our ministry efforts can be negated within only two generations unless we reach and disciple children for Christ.

Without a doubt, the global Foursquare Church embraces the cause of reaching children and influencing generations that will follow them. As we partner toward the goal of taking the whole gospel to the whole world until all have heard, may this call of Jesus resonate within us: “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:16, NKJV).
