As we approach a time of remembrance of Jesus’ willingness to go to the cross because of our sins, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the meaning of this season and the importance it holds for our faith. This season is a time of renewal, rebirth and resurrection. It is a time to celebrate the victory of life over death, hope over despair and love over hate. It reminds us of the sacrifice that Jesus made and God’s incredible love for us all.

“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” —Matthew 28:5-6, KJV

Remember Jesus’ ultimate act of love and forgiveness this year. Let us take a moment to reflect on our own lives and how we can renew ourselves and our commitment to our faith. Let us remember the teachings of Jesus and strive to live our lives in a way that reflects His love and His compassion for others.

Let us also remember those struggling and hurting and offer them comfort and support. May we be a beacon of hope for those feeling lost or alone and share the love and light of His death, burial and resurrection with everyone around us.

We will gather throughout the district to celebrate His victory over death and the grave. We will hold tightly to the power of our faith, hope, and love in Jesus. Be grateful for the blessings in our lives and let us continue to work towards a world filled with peace, justice, and compassion.

I wish you and your loved ones a joyous and blessed season of new life birthed in resurrection power. He is risen!
