Dr. Glenn Burris Jr., general supervisor and vice president of U.S. Operations of The Foursquare Church, on behalf of President Jack W. Hayford and the Board of Directors, announces the following district transitions within The Foursquare Church in the U.S.:

New Supervisor Appointed to the Pacific Rim District
Rev. Alex Pacheco has been appointed as district supervisor of the Pacific Rim District, effective January 1, 2007, following the transition from that position by Dr. Wayne Cordeiro. The Board and Executive Team of The Foursquare Church express gratitude for the quality leadership of Wayne and Anna Cordeiro as well as Pastor Dan Shima, Wayne’s administrator, and value their continued leadership in The Foursquare family.

Pastor Alex grew up in the islands of Hawaii and has enjoyed fruitful ministry planting three churches and speaking among church leaders and in other congregations. Alex and his wife Berna currently pastor New Hope Christian Fellowship in Hilo, Hawaii and Alex has served as superintendent of the East Hawaii Division of Foursquare Churches for the past eight years.

Realignment of District Boundaries in Texas
The boundaries of the Northeast Texas District of Foursquare Churches will be enlarged to embrace congregations from the West Texas District following the resignation of Supervisor Tom Wymore to pursue new ministry assignments. The decision to assimilate the two districts was vetted by district leadership and the Board of Directors in keeping with the Board’s 2005 directive to enlarge present district boundaries at times of supervisor transitions whenever possible. The new alignment under the leadership of Northeast Texas District Supervisor Kim Pitner will be effective January 1, 2007.

In addition, the South Texas District under the leadership of Supervisor Tony Krishack will be enlarged to include the southern boundary of the West Texas District. While we do not currently have Foursquare churches in this area, it is our desire to see churches planted and leaders developed. The Northeast Texas and West Texas merger will create a new district that will be called the North Texas District.

Leaders of The Foursquare Church express gratitude to Tom and Jettie Wymore for their quality leadership in the West Texas District, especially during this period of transition. It is our prayer that the implementation of this decision under the leadership of Kim and Cheryl Pitner as well as Tony and Maxine Krishack will result in ministry partnerships that continue to flourish, and that the life of Jesus will be evident in these extended relationships.

Pray for our Leaders
Foursquare leadership encourages all ministers in these districts, and throughout the nation, to pray for the leaders who have accepted the call of the Lord in expanded responsibility. Pray too, for the families represented by each of these transitioning leaders for the protection, wholeness, and fulfillment of the Lord to accompany all that they do in His name.

was founded in 1923, and we have been growing leaders ever since.
