As Joshua stood on the cusp of the Promised Land, he needed encouragement.
Before him lay the inheritance of which God had spoken, along with its many challenges. But Joshua was not alone or unprepared. He had a word from God, and had been shaped by a mentor.
In his keynote at Foursquare Connection 2016 in Honolulu, Sheldon Lacsina, senior pastor of New Hope Hilo Hawaii (Hilo Foursquare Church) said, “In order for us to fearlessly embrace our future, we must courageously face today.”
Through personal stories, Sheldon explained how God uses the empowering of the Holy Spirit and the equipping of mentoring to shape His people.
“Every single one of us has something to bring to the kingdom of God,” he asserted, while convincingly expressing that none of us was meant to do this alone.
