“Desperation is often the most direct pathway to a miracle,” shared Foursquare President (U.S.) Glenn Burris at the Southwestern Hispanic District conference, a gathering of Hispanic pastors and leaders from Foursquare churches. “Your life may be filled with threats or great trauma, but the Word of God is here to remind us of who we are in Christ.”
Glenn spoke with poignant clarity and personal encounters about pastors who once shunned him because of his Pentecostal doctrine. “God is bringing unity among people who once would never sit together in worship,” Glenn said.
Every ministry leader who listens to this message will be challenged by the reminder to stay the course and not to disqualify one’s self because of the threats or trauma in our lives. Instead, Glenn encouraged that we may be one prayer away from the miraculous, if only we remain focused on God’s Word.
