The path of pride or the way of humility

Throughout Christian history, pride has been seen as the root of all sin. What does the path of pride look like? What is true humility? In this keynote address from Foursquare Connection 2026, Pastor Grant Bruscoe uses the life of King Saul to demonstrate the subtle (and not so subtle) ways that we can become prideful by mistrusting God and trusting in ourselves instead. He describes six moments in King Saul’s life, how they demonstrated a prideful attitude, and ways that these same temptations can assault us today. He encourages pastors and ministry leaders alike to examine themselves, confess their pride, and put their trust in God, no matter what.
