The book of Romans is Paul’s greatest theological work. However, its ending is unique to Paul’s books and may seem odd, at first glance. In this keynote address, originally delivered at Foursquare Connection 2024, Pastor Daniel Fernandez looks at Romans 16:1-20, and what it can teach us as pastors and leaders. Daniel says that Romans 16 is Paul’s “director’s cut” ending to a book. It’s different from the ending of every other work he wrote because he wanted to teach us something. This “alternate ending” demonstrates to us the importance of relationships, knowing people’s stories, being willing to be interrupted, and how seasoned leaders and emerging leaders can work together.
