After a three-year absence, the Foursquare community came back together for Foursquare Connection in Orlando, Fla., this week. There was time set aside to connect, worship and work through some important Foursquare business.

Over 3,000 attendees, including over 500 kids, heard from prophetic speakers that challenged leaders on such areas as returning to the fear of God, confession and repentance, and moving toward being on mission together.

In addition to hearing the annual report and voting on some bylaw amendments, the topic of leadership abuse was addressed in the Wednesday business session. Ministers were able to ask questions about how leadership abuse would be handled going forward throughout the day, followed by a time of corporate repentance that evening.

An update is forthcoming about how Foursquare is prioritizing the development of a healthy culture, including specific action items taken and being taken against leadership abuse of any kind.
