Pastor Justin Rupple told attendees at Foursquare’s Pacific Southwest District Conference about going deeper to look at the root of our anxiety and even passion. Riding a steady wave of excitement and adrenaline in work and ministry can be an easy trap, a mechanism for avoiding the brokenness and pain that lie below that wave. Justin reminded us that being diligent about resting in the Lord is obedience (Heb. 4:11), and that only when we rest in the Lord can we deal with the root causes of our sin and deeply know God and be known by Him.
