In this season of pause, reflection, and connection, our team is dedicated to keeping you informed and engaged. Please be on the lookout for upcoming communications and online events designed to foster conversation across the Western District.

These 100 days will culminate in the Foursquare Leader Conference – an opportunity to catalyze vision, encourage prophetic encounters, and deepen our connections with the Lord and one another. We hope these next 100 days will encourage you, help you feel connected as a district, and give you glimpses into the vibrancy of our district life together.

In this unique season, we have the opportunity to pave the way for The Foursquare Church, bringing health, wholeness, unity, and strength to the body of Christ. The Lord has entrusted us with this task, and He will sustain us for such a time as this. Let us embrace this divine calling with unwavering determination, knowing that together, we can foster positive change and progress. With the Lord’s guidance, we will shape a brighter future for our congregations, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the church.

The absence of a supervisor in the Western District is a strategic and necessary measure in line with the Holy Spirit for the current period. Our objective is to foster unity and cohesion by integrating three distinct districts into a single healthy district, namely the Western District. We are confident that our future holds great promise. Our best days are ahead of us.

Our summer camps have been incredible! We’re grateful for the incredible work of the Lord. Together, we can truly make a difference in our NextGen. A single donation, a kind word, or a heartfelt prayer can have a lasting impact. Let’s invest in the future generation.

Embracing diversity in the Western District is fundamental to bringing unity. This entails recognizing the significance of all our Foursquare entities and the individuals within these diverse contexts. By coming together as a collective, we aspire to witness people from all generations, ethnic backgrounds, and walks of life striving in unison to Bring the Kingdom.

By embracing our differences and working towards common goals, we take a significant step towards fulfilling the larger plan of the Lord that transcends all boundaries. Together, in the spirit of understanding and cooperation, we can make a positive impact on our communities, fostering a world where diversity is celebrated and where we collectively strive for the greater good.

A SPECIAL INVITATION FROM PRESIDENT RANDY REMINGTON

As we come together with a shared desire for healing and unity within our District, let us embrace a spirit of positive change. Over the years, we have experienced hurt, cynicism, and broken relationships, but today, we stand united in our commitment to mend what’s been fractured. Together, we can foster an environment where understanding and collaboration prevail, guided by the belief that unity is at the core of our collective purpose.

Recognizing the importance of considering each other’s perspectives, we invite everyone to approach challenges with an open mind. By striving to understand alternative viewpoints and finding common ground, we can forge stronger connections and work harmoniously towards our shared goals.

Let us remember that a divided community does not align with the plans of the Holy Spirit. To restore complete unity, we must actively repair what has been broken. This calls for compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to building bridges.

Together, we can build a District that embodies the very essence of our purpose and values.

“Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love,
in honor giving preference to one another;”
Romans 12:10

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14

Embracing the present and looking towards the future, we find immense hope in witnessing the extraordinary works the Lord is orchestrating within this rising generation during these pivotal times. Among these gifted individuals are passionate students hearing the resounding call of their purpose. As the united body of Christ, it is our profound privilege to nurture their divine vocations, bolster their strength, and wholeheartedly support their presence within our congregations.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we must pause and reflect upon that cherished moment when the Lord first called us to action. Let us rekindle the embers of excitement and anticipation that ignited our hearts when we realized He had already paved the path before us. By doing so, we find renewed inspiration to lift others on their journey, knowing that we, too, once stood where they stand today.

Together, let us embrace a future where the power of the Lord’s grace interweaves with the unyielding determination of this emerging generation. As we foster an environment of support, encouragement, and love, we witness a beautiful symphony of divine destinies unfolding, leaving an indelible mark on our communities and beyond.

Our summer camp season has come to an end, and we have MUCH to celebrate!  Your students and leaders who attended camp had opportunities to encounter the Lord and grow in Him.  Altogether, the Western District had 1,911 kids + students plus 665 leaders at our camps – an increase from last summer!  We saw lives changed, bodies healed, minds transformed, and feet set on mission.

And speaking of mission, we raised over 11K between our ten summer camps to build an FDR Mobile Mission kitchen for refugees in Turkey! This is a generation that is ready to be on a mission for Jesus!

WON’T HE DO IT?!

We are emphasizing the cultivation and prioritization of cohesion within the Western District. We have discovered many present challenges and historic disappointments as we consolidated 3 distinct districts into one district. Our aspiration is to foster a relational unity that will be expressed through a shared mission of multiplying God’s Kingdom presence throughout the four states which comprise the Western District.

We encourage you to participate in the Western District evaluation survey! All credentialed ministers are invited to share feedback on how they feel Foursquare is serving you as a leader in our movement. In the last few days, an email from Foursquare’s Executive Team was sent to all credentialed ministers, encouraging you to share and evaluate. As a movement and a district, we wish to listen and understand how we are doing and what areas need our attention. If you, a credentialed minister, did not receive the survey, please contact us, and we will ensure you receive it.

Meet Brandon and Marcie Brazee. They are doing immense work in Germany with Foursquare Missions International. They are currently working to launch a church in their local city. Join us as we pray for them and their family!

Throughout this past season, we have witnessed a remarkable journey of progress and development, and it is with great enthusiasm that we celebrate the affirmation we have received. The essence of unity that has taken root within the Western District serves as a testament to our shared commitment to growth and excellence.

We are better together, Western District.

Pastors Brian and Cynthia Goodell share what can happen when we allow the Lord to lead.

Join us in a district-wide 21 days of praying and fasting, starting on September 22nd and concluding during the start of our Foursquare Leaders Conference on October 12th.

Get ready for an incredible Foursquare Leader’s Conference!
In our pursuit of unity and kingdom multiplication, we are calling all leaders to join us in a focused time of prayer and fasting. Elevating the priority of prayer is vital as we strive for more and growing leaders on mission. This will be a momentous occasion as our entire District gathers together for the first time. Join us in prayer + fasting leading up to the event!

During our gathering, we ponder what kind of District we will present to God. Will we attend as individual leaders or teams? Are we merely seeking to reconnect with friends in an inspirational environment? Or is there something more significant that God has in store for us? We have the opportunity to come together to align our personal callings and ignite our passion for the shared kingdom mission of the Foursquare movement.

As we celebrate our Centennial year, we firmly believe that our best days are rooted in our history, propelling us toward an even brighter future. Let us continue to press forward with confidence, embracing the limitless possibilities that lie ahead. Our best days are yet to come!

Western District 21 days of Prayer + Fasting

Launch September 21st – October 12th
We extend a heartfelt invitation to each one of you as be begin the journey 21 Days of Praying and Fasting. This endeavor holds significance as it precedes our highly anticipated Foursquare Leader Conference.

During these twenty-one days, we are fervently seeking the guidance and blessings of the Almighty in three pivotal areas:

  • Unity
  • Generations
  • Bringing The Kingdom

“And Jesus said to them, ‘Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.'” Matthew 9:15

As we embark on these 21 days of prayer and fasting, we implore you to seek and discern those aspects of your life where the presence of the bridegroom is lacking. Where do you yearn for the presence and guidance of the Lord?

We eagerly anticipate the culmination of this journey as we break our fast together at the Foursquare Leader Conference on October 12th. Let this gathering be a testament to the transformative power of faith, prayer, and unity.

Because of YOU, we are seeing miracles in MENACA!

Today marks day one of our 21 days of praying and fasting. We ask that you join us in a collective moment of prayer, wisdom and grace for our Foursquare Leader Conference. We aspire to coalesce with an unwavering momentum towards the pursuit of unity.

Let this moment ignite our spirits and bind us closer as we embark on this journey together.

While we may find ourselves in diverse circumstances and possess unique backgrounds, it is our common bond in Christ and our shared mission that unites us. Let us direct our attention towards those elements that foster unity and collaboration.

In February 2023, Union Church LA in Monterey Park came together with Ark Chinese Foursquare to honor the 11 precious lives that were tragically lost in the local shooting. They hosted a heartfelt Community Lantern Festival Dinner, sharing food and prayers and releasing 11 lanterns—one for each victim. Foursquare Chaplain Steve Sewell offered guidance on grief, and Multiethnic Coordinator Jennifer Thigpenn prayed for the victims’ families. This event beautifully showcased how, even in tragedy, God can bring unity and beauty from ashes. While they continue to grieve, Union Church remains part of the Monterey Park Pastors Coalition, joining in Community Prayer Walks and monthly gatherings to uplift their community in prayer.
Together, we find strength and hope.

God is for us. And if He says it, that settles it.

This week, as we pray through generations, we hear a testimony of what the Lord is doing in the lives of our NextGen.
If He is for us, who can stand against us?

What a beautiful picture of others grasping onto us, because of the Kingdom presence we inhabit.
