The U.S. Center for Disease Control has issued new directives for the 2009-2010 school year for dealing with H1N1 novel flu outbreaks at institutions of higher education. It is important that all institute leaders become familiar with the protocol to minimize outbreaks at their institutes. Though the virus is currently fairly mild, several thousand people have died of complications, especially adults in the 20-40 year old bracket that are served by our institutes. Please download the directives from the CDC website and implement their recommendations to promote a healthy learning environment at your institute this fall.
