Those who undertake search and rescue missions are hoping to find someone alive. Sometimes, tragically, the rescue effort turns toward recovery.

We serve a God who continually searches for us, planning our rescue. Tragically, some people refuse their rescue. I believe that breaks the heart of God above everything else.

“The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing” (Zeph. 3:17, NKJV).

Pray today for a softening of heart for those who are far from God. For an avalanche of rescuers to join Him in His search and rescue. Pray for heaven to fill with an angelic celebration over many who will be found and saved.

Reflect + Pray

1. What rescue is God trying to undertake for you? Are you open and receptive to His rescue, whatever that means? Ask God for perseverance and openness to receive deliverance.

2. Ask God today to show you how He can use you as a rescue for someone who badly needs it, and for strength to keep trying no matter the outcome of that rescue.

3. Please lift up The Foursquare Church’s disaster relief teams as they respond to disasters and tragedies. Ask the Lord to give them strength and courage to undertake His rescue missions.

4. Fall district conferences begin this week. Ask the Lord to provide a fresh vision and spirit of revival in the hearts of Foursquare pastors and leaders.
