In Acts 15, James, one of the apostles and brothers of Jesus, gave a word about discovering things yet to come.

During a meeting of the early elders of the church in Jerusalem, James referenced the past prophecy of Amos as it pointed to current miracles, grace and favor among the Gentiles, and connected it to the decisions they would need to make, paving the way of the future for the church.

James appealed to the leaders to make clear and spiritually emboldened decisions. The rest is history. Could it be that, hidden among the words of prophets and the present activities of God, a clear message of “things to come” becomes evident for us, as well?

I have a deep conviction that when we bring ourselves into alignment with God’s prophetic direction, discern His current work and take courageous risks, we will see the catalytic results of open doors no man can shut, rivers of living water that will produce a harvest of new souls, with unity and favor beyond our imagination.

Reflect + Pray

1. Ask the Lord how you can understand the words of the prophets as they apply today, and for discernment to step out in faith to produce a harvest of new souls and disciples.

2. Pray God would give all Foursquare pastors and leaders a fresh vision for their churches as they begin to see the things to come.

3. Pray for the Foursquare cabinet meeting, to be held next month, as the presidential selection process continues. Ask the Lord to grant our cabinet wisdom and guidance in this journey.

4. Ask God to draw those unfamiliar with church into Foursquare congregations, and to prepare our churches to receive new believers eager for His Word.
