Dr. Steve Riggle was installed as the fifth president of The King’s University in Van Nuys, Calif., on June 10, 2012. He will assume his responsibilities as president August 1, 2012.

Along with his wife, Becky, Dr. Riggle is the founding pastor of Grace Community Church in Houston. Begun in 1983 with 12 people, this nondenominational, multiethnic church now has more than 15,000 people who worship on four campuses. Dr. Riggle is also president of Grace International Churches and Ministries; he oversees 2,400 churches worldwide.

A charter member of the board of trustees of The King’s University, Dr. Riggle has served The King’s since the school’s founding in 1997. He has a master’s degree from Oral Roberts University and a doctorate from The King’s University. The Riggles have two children and five grandchildren.

Dr. Jack Hayford, founder and former president of The King’s University, now serves as its chancellor. A former president of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, “Pastor Jack” is probably best known as the founding pastor of The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, Calif., where he served as senior pastor for more than three decades.

“I feel great peace and confidence as Steve moves into the presidency,” Pastor Jack shared at the installation service. “The board and I—and all that know his gifting, character, lifestyle and fruitfulness—acknowledge the grace of God on his leadership. We have sought the Lord; He has spoken and confirmed His will. We are rejoicing in the future that this development is opening to us.”
