Early in my ministry, it was difficult when people would come to me with needs so great they would take a miracle. I could not provide miracles; I could not meet their needs.
This remained a source of frustration and sadness until I recognized that only God is able. Only God—the ultimate Deliver, the ultimate Healer—can provide for us when we need a miracle. He is the ultimate Provider. In the Scriptures, He says over and over, “I am.”
God delivers, though sometimes after a delay. God heals, though sometimes through eternity. God provides in numerous ways, time and time again.
Now my greatest privilege is to introduce people to the One who delivers, heals and provides. What a relief for those of us in ministry leadership! What a blessing for those who embrace it.
As the hymn says, “To God be the glory, great things He hath done.”
Reflect + Pray
- What needs should you release back to God to trust in His provision? Each day this week, look at the needs you have encountered and offer to God what only He can accomplish. Lead others in faith and prayer.
- Pray as The Foursquare Church’s presidential selection process continues, following last week’s cabinet meetings. Ask that the Lord would move the candidates He desires to respond to the call.

- Pray for the Lord to inspire and call believers to plant Foursquare churches in areas in need of ministry, and for Him to provide the resources to do so.
