Sister Aimee preaching at Angelus Temple

October 9, 2015, would have marked Aimee Semple McPherson’s 125th birthday. To celebrate, the Echo Park Evangelistic Association (EPEA) has published three volumes of Sister McPherson’s sermons, dated 1906 through 1923, the year Angelus Temple opened.

The first three volumes of The Collected Sermons and Writings of Aimee Semple McPherson, meticulously compiled by Foursquare archivist Steve Zeleny, include such famous sermons as The Bridal Call, Lost and Restored, Divine Healing: How to Get It, Is Jesus the Great “I AM” or the Great “I Was”?, and Soul Winning.

“What Aimee Semple McPherson said and taught was so impactful that people travelled hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of miles to hear her speak,” explains Steve. “Now, for the first time, people will be able to read her messages in her own words—the words that revolutionized Christian practice in the United States and became the basis of the worldwide Foursquare movement.”

Volumes 1, 2 and 3 of The Collected Sermons and Writings of Aimee Semple McPherson are available for purchase in softcover and Kindle formats, on Amazon.

The EPEA was the first non-profit Sister McPherson formed. When people donated to build Angelus Temple, for example, they donated to the EPEA, not Angelus Temple. During Aimee Semple McPherson’s time of ministry, the EPEA promoted and published her sermons, writings and music.

“The Echo Park Evangelistic Association now looks to continue to make Sister McPherson’s sermons, music and ministry available to Foursquare ministers as well as the larger body of Christ,” says Sterling Brackett, president of the EPEA and corporate secretary for The Foursquare Church. “The EPEA is currently accepting donations to publish the remaining volumes of Sister’s works, which span her ministry until her death in 1944.”

Donations to the EPEA can be made online, or sent to the following address:
