On Tuesday, January 30, Rev. Esther Adams passed away. She was 92 years old and had ministered in The Foursquare Church for more than 70 years. Befitting a saint who had been so faithful, Sister Adams had a last vision of her Savior and Lord, welcoming her into her heavenly reward.

As a young woman, Sister Adams served as an organist at Angelus Temple under the ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson. Sister Adams and her husband, the late Billy Adams, pastored the Long Beach, Calif., Foursquare Church for 45 years. In addition to their pastoral ministry in Long Beach, the Adamses ministered in Salinas, Calif.; Waterloo, Iowa; Anaheim, Calif.; Willowbrook, Calif.; East Los Angeles, Calif; and Angelus Temple.

Sister Adams is survived by her daughter, Patsy Lane, three grandchildren, Robert Lane, Gary Lane, and Cheryl Lane Lenell; and eight great-grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to the family at the following address:
