I want to share with you an encouraging passage about prayer from Foursquare President Jack Hayford’s book, Prayer Is Invading the Impossible:
The incarnation shows that God has willed to work all redemptive operations through His children. And the establishment of the Church is the evidence that both the Father and the Son want that process to flow now through its agency. God works redemption through the Church (Ephesians 3:10), which is people who call upon His rule to invade the mischievous and the merciless works of satanic power.
Jesus says, when you pray, and after you have come before the Father with worship, begin to call for His will to be worked on earth. That’s the only way it’s going to happen here—when those who want His will to be done declare that it be.
Please join us in our National Foursquare Family Prayer Meeting this coming Sunday evening.
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” -1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NKJV)
