Thank you for taking a moment this busy holiday season to reflect upon and celebrate what we’ve done together. With the help of our Foursquare family, we’ve been able to make an immediate and eternal impact in the lives of those we’ve served.
We’re grateful to have supported relief efforts for over 50 disasters in one year through the Foursquare Disaster Relief (FDR) Ready Fund. The Ready Fund allows us to serve when it matters most—hours, not days, after disaster strikes.
Hurricane Ian Response
As many of you know, Hurricane Ian hit the Caribbean, Cuba, Florida and the East Coast at the end of September. This Category 4 hurricane caused major flooding, wind damage, and loss of homes and lives. The Ready Fund enabled partnership with several local Foursquare churches, FDR, and FDR responders to unite and serve our churches affected by Hurricane Ian. Our local churches were able to deliver 20 semi-loads of immediately needed food, water, tarps, generators and so much more. We also have FDR responders and church teams serving on the ground, which is all made possible as a result of the Ready Fund.
Additionally, this year in Ukraine and six surrounding countries, we equipped pastors to help displaced refugees with vehicles for evacuation and food delivery, as well as distribution of food to hundreds of families weekly. We were also able to provide shelter for hundreds of refugees with temporary and long-term housing, in addition to providing water filtration systems in areas without power for safe drinking water. Above all else, we focused on providing spiritual and emotional care as we saw thousands of people come to Christ as a result of the relief given through the local church.
Your giving to the Ready Fund allowed us to quickly and effectively build the infrastructure for our efforts to develop into a major relief response in seven nations, helping thousands of Ukrainians.
Because of your partnership and support, we have been able to respond to disasters immediately and effectively through local churches around the world, even as recently as Hurricane Ian. Thank you for helping us to stay ready to respond!
