False assumptions can break us, or they can evidence our need for clear revelation from God.

Elisha’s servant thought they were outnumbered. Job thought God had abandoned him. Eli thought he could ignore holding his sons accountable. Belshazzar thought nothing could unseat his power base.

Test your assumptions against God’s truth, God’s expectations and God’s possibilities. Failure to align your assumptions with His divine order will leave you vulnerable, and will cause you to fall short of His plans and purposes.

Filter your assumptions through His Word. Submit them to His plans. And trust Him for the outcome.

Reflect + Pray

1. Right now, today, ask God to align your assumptions with His will. Read the Word and pray for Him to eliminate any false assumptions you’ve been allowing to affect your walk.

2. March 1 is the World Day of Prayer. Seek others to pray with and to learn about prayer in other countries and cultures.

3. Pray for the Lord to knock down walls in Foursquare churches, that the spaces between believers would be bridged by the Holy Spirit in ministry and fellowship.

4. Please lift up the prayer requests of Foursquare Missions International staff and area missionaries. Download the monthly prayer guide here.
