We’re better together! The Northwest District is committed to providing opportunities for you to cultivate rich, authentic relationships with other Foursquare ministers and leaders. We also want to provide environments that help you grow your skills, learn more about yourself, and be better equipped to navigate the unique landscape of the Church in this season.

All the cohort, relational and learning opportunities listed below have been experienced by members of our team or are led by Regional and Area Pastors in the Northwest District.

Emotionally Healthy Leader cohort

Led by Foursquare Pastor and Certified Coach Trey Abney.

The EHL Cohort is a 10-week cohort for leaders looking to dive into Peter Scazzero’s bestselling Emotionally Healthy Leader in a group learning environment. This cohort facilitates growth in the areas of emotional health, spiritual maturity, and ministry leadership.

Full Strength Network

Full Strength Network is a non-profit organization that exists to help ministry leaders discover full strength in well-being in areas like richer spiritual health, deeper relationships, and increased leadership capacity. Designed as a subscription-based service, Full Strength offers professional counseling services, individual and group coaching, and a variety of practical resources for spiritual and mental health for ministry leaders.

 

Mission of God online class + discussion

Long before we choose service times, style of worship, or kids’ curriculum, we must first examine the fundamental questions of why we do church. Join us as we explore together the role we play in what God is doing in the world, how we consider our audience when communicating the Gospel, the role of the Holy Spirit in the transformation of lives and communities, and how our understanding of all these things can (and should) impact the methodology of our local church context. This class is offered in partnership with Foursquare Multiply and is designed for pastors and leaders considering church planting, replanting, or revitalizing a church, or helping a congregation gain a vision for reaching their community for Christ.

YOUnique cohort

YOUnique starts with a two-day intensive retreat, followed by an 8-week cohort meeting. YOUnique is open to all people and is highly recommended for assisting ministers, young leaders, and those considering what God might have next for them.

Foursquare Cause Networks

Foursquare Cause Networks, previously known as Affinity Networks, are open, informal, and dynamic groups of people that connect around specific missional activities in spheres or sectors of society where the gospel is greatly needed. These networks provide a pathway for more and growing leaders who share particular passions and perspectives for the issues of our day to be on a mission together in a space for connection, resourcing, training, and support. Current Cause Networks include:

  • Anti-Human Trafficking
  • Business as Mission
  • Campus Ministry
  • Prison Restoration Ministries
  • Disability Network
  • Emotionally Healthy Discipleship
  • Foster Advocacy
  • Unseen Collective Network
  • Refugee and Immigrant Care

*Each Cause Network has its own structure, schedule, and leadership.

Establishing missions in the local church

A call for missions champions! From large to start-up churches, the call to pray, give and go is imprinted on every Foursquare Church. This 6-week online cohort is designed to help the missions leader of the church get trained and connected to serve effectively in their local church. This group is for mission leaders in the local church that want to be equipped and connected with the global reach of the Foursquare Church. Led by Nick Greeley (Missions Pastor at Grays Harbor Foursquare Church) + Allison Washington (Co-Pastor of Gig Harbor Foursquare Church)

Missions in the church: theology + practice

This cohort is designed to discover and establish a solid understanding of the mission of God with veteran Bible teacher Steve Schell and his wife Mary that helped Northwest Church establish missions for their 28 years in Federal Way. Kaj Martin, our Missions Mobilizer, will help facilitate these 90-minute sessions online. It will cover the “why” and “how” of missions that should be present in every local Foursquare church. If the Sr. Pastor is signed up they can sponsor their Missions Director into the class.

For Senior Pastors only.

Eight Week Cohort begins Jan. 25, 2024 on Thursday nights at 6 p.m. (pst). More info to come!
