In accordance with recommendations made during the National Leadership Summit in January 2005, the Board of Directors is committed to responding to district transitions whenever possible with assimilation of churches into larger, stronger districts. Glenn Burris Jr., general supervisor and vice president of U.S. Operations of The Foursquare Church, on behalf of President Jack W. Hayford and the Board of Directors, announces that Foursquare churches in the states of North and South Carolina will be realigned into one district that will be called the Carolinas District.
The Board of Directors further announces the appointment of Rev. Bill Gross as district supervisor of the newly assimilated Carolinas District, effective August 3, 2006. Bill fills the vacancy left when Rev. Gary Clouse accepted a new ministry assignment in Southern California. The Board and Executive Team of The Foursquare Church express gratitude for the quality leadership of Gary and Teri Clouse as they have led the New Hope Worship Center in Concord, N.C. and served as supervisor of the Carolinas District. Our continued prayer goes with them as they are already in their new assignment.
Rev. Bill and Marcia Gross pastor Hope Chapel, the Apex, N.C. Foursquare Church and have experienced God’s favor and continued growth in their ministry. Those who are familiar with Bill and Marcia’s ministry and those pastors and leaders who are now joining the expanded Carolinas District will find their leadership creative and refreshing.
We encourage all ministers in these districts, and throughout the nation, to pray for these leaders who have accepted the call of the Lord in expanded responsibility. Pray too, for the families represented by each of these transitioning leaders for the protection, wholeness, and fulfillment of the Lord to accompany all that they do in His name.
