The Central District of The Foursquare Church recently gathered to hold its 2024 Regional Connects. These local events brought together more than 950 pastors and leaders from across the district for a time of training, fellowship and worship. Held at 22 locations districtwide, the gatherings fostered growth, collaboration and community among church leaders and pastors, equipping them with essential tools to minister in local contexts.
Antonio Sims, District Supervisor said the Regional Connects “provided an opportunity for our pastors and leaders to gather, worship and engage in strategic discussions aimed at catalyzing momentum and driving growth within our churches.” These type of local events can play a pivotal role in uniting and empowering leaders.
One non-credentialed leader in Missouri shared how welcomed they felt and that they found the training content relevant to their ministry. Similarly, a lay leader from Colorado—a father of four and plumber by trade—praised the practical applicationof the training to both his ministry and personal life. Associate Supervisor Beth Hackbarth shared her enthusiasm: “It was wonderful to see pastors and leaders from all over our District connect, learn and grow together. Many first-time attendees found the content highly relevant and applicable.”
Associate Supervisor Esperanza Morphis celebrated that, the 2024 Connects “served as strategic spaces for care, connection, collaboration and celebration.” The district’s hope is that the Regional Connects left a lasting impression, equipped leaders with valuable knowledge, fostered a spirit of unity and collaboration and ignited hope for continued growth and fruitful ministry for the future.
