Recognizing the many women in The Foursquare Church who are called to leadership, Life Pacific College in San Dimas, Calif., in partnership with the denomination, is hosting a five-day intensive on the campus grounds for women of all ages.

Taking place May 10-14, 2010, the weeklong event will include workshops covering many aspects of leadership relevant to women who lead both inside and outside church walls. All participants of Kaleo—which is Greek for “called”—will have access to peer-to-peer mentoring as well as other academic, experiential and relational opportunities. Plenty of time for refreshment via fellowship, prayer and ministry will also be included in the schedule.

The event, founded by Annette McCabe and Roanna Canete, promises to be encouraging, challenging and practical. Karen Tremper, a professor at Life Pacific College, will be leading the academic component, in which conference participants will receive instruction from highly trained academians. Heidi Faulkner-Hunt will be leading the mentoring network, which will engage mentors from all walks of leadership, and will approach mentoring from both practical and relational perspectives.
