Rev. Herb Schneidau, who served as the corporate secretary from May 1999 through May 2002, passed away suddenly on Thurs., Aug. 8. He was 69 years old.
Following his term as corporate secretary, Herb was the administrator of the former Central ARC (Administrative Resource Center), a role he served until his retirement in 2012. Throughout his 47 years of ministry, he served in various pastoral, administrative and leadership positions, including six years as part of the board of directors. He made many lasting friends who will remember him for his gentleness and kindness—and his unflagging humor.
Foursquare President Glenn Burris Jr. stated: “Herb was one of those people you never forget—and not just because he was 6’9″! His love for the Lord and for people was remarkable; he always had a funny story and words of encouragement. He was faithful to every task the Lord entrusted to him, serving with graciousness and distinction. He will be greatly missed.”
Herb is survived by his wife of 48 years, Roberta; two sons and two daughters; a number of grandchildren; one brother and one sister. Please pray that the sustaining and comforting power of the Holy Spirit will be with the Schneidau family during this time of grief and loss.
A memorial service to celebrate Herb’s life will be held on Weds., Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. at:

There will be a viewing on Tues., Aug. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the same location.
A lunch will follow the service for out-of-town friends and family. Anyone planning to attend should immediately email with how many are coming so that arrangements can be made.
