Paul writes to the Church in Thessalonica, “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” The most challenging issue for all of us to live that way is the daily battle that we face internally. It’s so easy to become self-absorbed. Read the following poem and chuckle a little; hurt a little, and agree with me to become a generous and grateful follower of Christ.

If It’s Mine

If I like it, it’s mine.
If I can take it away from you, it’s mine.
If I had it a while ago, it’s mine.
If I say it is mine, it’s mine.
If I saw it first, it’s mine.
If you’re having fun with it, it’s definitely mine.
If you lay it down, it’s mine.
If it is broken, it’s yours.
