Last week, I had the privilege of sitting with about 30 emerging leaders working through some great discipleship dynamics. There was time for journaling, fellowship, worship, small group discussion and prayer. We also enjoyed interactive teaching, food and some fireworks on July 4th. While I was only there for a couple of days, the intensive was scheduled to go on for two weeks! I left really encouraged about the future of The Foursquare Church!
One word from the Lord came about, as a young leader named Reed, shared a picture he received of the children of Israel going through the Red Sea. He shared that their future lay just beyond this challenging encounter. Additional conversation drew the conclusion that the closing of the Red Sea behind them also shouted loudly that their past was not going with them into their future! Hallelujah, that’ll preach! Take confidence in this fact: God’s got you covered from all sides, where you came from and where you’re going… cool, huh?
