More than 3,200 Foursquare pastors, leaders and church members from across the nation and around the world came to Washington, D.C., for the Foursquare annual convention at the beginning of June.

“I want to cheer you on and do everything possible to assist in steadying your focus,” Foursquare President Jack Hayford told the crowd during the keynote address of the opening night. “In the race, we’re always called to keep looking unto Jesus.”

Over four days convention attendees heard nine different keynote speakers, including Foursquare President Jack Hayford, former Chaplain of the U.S. Senate Lloyd Ogilvie, pastor of Faithful Central Bible Church Bishop Ken Ulmer, Eagles’ Wings Founder and Executive Director Robert Stearns and more.

The convention also included music from the Australian pop group the Newsboys, the Nashville-based New Song Christian Worship Team, and a number of other musicians. Actor Dean Jones also shared a presentation. Convention attendees had the opportunity to attend 39 workshops and explore exhibits from more than 75 exhibitors.

Next year’s convention will be held in Israel from July 22-25, 2007. You can take advantage of special tour packages before and after the convention itself to see more of Israel and make the most of the trip.

“There is no place on earth like Jerusalem, and no land in the world like Israel!” says Foursquare President Jack Hayford. “I’ve been here over 30 times and the experience never grows old as there are always new things to learn and deeper insights to gain.”
