Aug. 5—Foursquare Disaster Relief is currently mobilizing to respond to the devastating explosion that happened in Beirut, Lebanon, on Tuesday, Aug. 4. There is a massive amount of wreckage, including loss of life, injury and widespread damage.

Here are some ways you can intercede for those suffering:

  • Pray for the safety of the city as they face the damage caused by the explosion. Many individuals have been left without a home. The people of Lebanon, as well as Syrian refugees, have already been devastated financially by the pandemic. This explosion has displaced many from their shelters and access to basic essentials.
  • Pray that the people of Beirut experience peace and the love of Christ in the midst of suffering.
  • Pray for access to resources and finances for repairs, food, shelter and medical care.

In addition to prayer, FDR is asking for financial partnership as they make it their specific goal to repair damage to homes, provide 1,000 hot meals per day for the next month, and offer medical support to anyone who needs it. Each meal costs about $8, so every bit of support helps!

Give to Foursquare Disaster Relief, and select “Beirut Explosion.”
