The great thing about this year’s location for Foursquare Connection 2025 in Denver is that we’re all together. The Gaylord Rockies Resort + Convention Center has it all—it’s easy to get between your hotel room and the convention ballroom without ever entering the unpredictable outdoors.

However, let’s be honest: It’s also easy to start feeling claustrophobic. So how do you survive your week at Foursquare Connection 2025? Read on!

The outdoors really is great

The grounds of the Gaylord Rockies Resort + Convention Center resort are beautiful, providing great views and plenty of activities.

You may not need to go outside, but we highly suggest that you do! Step outside the resort for beautiful views of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.

Arapahoe Springs Water Park, spread across three acres, isn’t just your average (sometimes questionable) hotel pool. Multiple pools and hot tubs are located indoors and outdoors, as well as two water slides and a lazy river. Time in the sun under the endless Colorado skies will bring some fun and relaxation no matter if this is a trip with just your church staff or you’re making it into a family vacation.

Have some water park fun between sessions at Arapahoe Springs Water Park. 

Also on the grounds is an outdoor area dubbed the Grand Lodge Lawn with cornhole, bocce ball and giant chess. You can even purchase a s’mores kit and take advantage of the outdoor fire pit.

Pro tip: Denver isn’t called the Mile High City for nothing. Pack your sunblock so you don’t show up at the evening session looking like a lobster.

That thing you eat

The Gaylord includes five restaurants, plus a marketplace with limited grab-and-go options and a pool-adjacent restaurant. You’ll also find Starbucks served at both the marketplace and the Cocoa Bean coffee kiosk located right near our convention digs. (Say it with me: “Thank you, Gaylord!”)

However, you aren’t just limited to meals at the hotel. With fridges in each room, consider having groceries delivered (e.g., Walmart+, Shipt, Target Circle 360, Instacart). Having some breakfast items on hand and even sandwich fixins for lunch can help lighten the food budget load! With Denver’s higher elevation, you may want to throw in some water bottles, as well.

In addition, DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats are among those that deliver food from area restaurants right to the hotel. (Pro tip: Did you know that if you have Amazon Prime, you can upgrade to Grubhub+ for free? This helps save on delivery and service fees.)

Now for the fun part: The Foursquare Dining Hall will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings before sessions. Grab your food “to go” and join your Foursquare fam for a time to hang out with your crew, your old friend from camp and your not-yet friends. Yes, kids are welcome, too!

Get active together

Want to make sure you move your body between sessions? You’re in the right place.

Stay active while at Foursquare Connection 2025 at the resort’s fitness center.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a chance for the Foursquare community to exercise together at 7 a.m., before sessions start. You can also take advantage of the Relâche Fitness Center, which is open 24 hours per day and included in your discounted convention rate.

If you need to work on your golf swing before you hit the links this summer, consider reserving tickets to your very own TopGolf “Swing Suite” located right inside the resort at the Mountain Pass Sports Bar.

Pro tip: Drink lots of water, whether you decide to take on some extra exercise or not. Elevation sickness plus the dryer climate can be a recipe for disaster if you aren’t staying extra hydrated.

Get away together

No car and absolutely need to get into downtown Denver? No need to fear, the light rail is here.

The Gaylord Resort provides a complimentary shuttle twice per hour to and from the nearby light rail. Purchase light rail tickets to be dropped off right in downtown Denver. The first shuttle leaves at 5:50 a.m., and the final shuttle leaves the light rail station at 11:20 p.m., giving plenty of time to visit Denver between sessions.
