Two pastors are concluding their five-year terms on the Foursquare board of directors, with Vice President of Operations Adam Davidson thanking them for their dedication and devotion to service.
“Sometimes we can take this kind of selfless giving for granted,” comments Adam, who is also Foursquare’s corporate secretary. “To offer The Foursquare Church their gifts and talents at this critical time in history is worthy of gratitude and honor.”
Board members help guide the corporation’s management and the Foursquare movement’s missional effectiveness. The board consists of up to 25 members, including four officers, 12 elected members (two from each district), and nine who may be appointed.
Eduardo Bogea and Heidi Chambers are concluding their terms on Aug. 31, 2025.
Eduardo Bogea, senior pastor of Iglesia El Calvario (Ontario Hispanic Foursquare Church) in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., National Hispanic District.

Eduardo initially moved to the U.S. in 1984, accepting Jesus as Savior while working as a shrimp fisherman in Texas. After returning to Brazil, he attended the Theological Bible Institute in São Luis-Maranhão, Brazil. He entered ministry in that city in 1988 as a youth pastor of a Foursquare church and later became assistant pastor.
In 1993, the Lord brought him to California, where he planted a home church in Upland that grew into Iglesia El Calvario. Eduardo also graduated from Angelus Bible Institute in Los Angeles in 1995 with a certificate in theology and ministry; he taught there from 1997 to 2000. Recently, he received an honorary Education for Ministry degree from the School of Theology in Sewanee, Tenn.
Eduardo is a member of the National Hispanic District (NHD) Council and an NHD regional pastor. He also served on the Foursquare cabinet as a representative of the former Southwestern Hispanic District, and then as a board director.
Eduardo says what surprised him about serving on the board was the level of spiritual warfare surrounding the role: “I sensed it was directly connected to the weight and significance of the decisions being made. There was a strong urgency in my spirit to encourage other board members to prioritize prayer and engage in spiritual battle.”
The board’s commitment to local and global missions was a highlight of his service. Eduardo says the group clearly focused on supporting pastors and churches spiritually, financially and through leadership development. That included Foursquare Multiply, which has impacted the NHD through new church plants and leadership formation.
“I want people to know the board isn’t some distant hierarchy,” Eduardo says. “They are pastors, just like us. They are people who deeply love God and care about the local church. There’s a strong sense of integrity in how decisions are made.”
Eduardo and Gabriela have been married for 20 years, and have one daughter and one granddaughter.
“Sometimes we can take this kind of selfless giving for granted. To offer The Foursquare Church their gifts and talents at this critical time in history is worthy of gratitude and honor.”

Heidi Chambers, executive pastor of Angelus Temple Hispanic Foursquare Church, National Hispanic District.

In addition to serving as executive pastor of Angeles Temple Hispanic Foursquare Church in Los Angeles, Heidi teaches at Angelus Bible Institute and Life Pacific University; she is also a member of the National Hispanic District Council. Previously, she served as associate director of administrative operations of Foursquare Missions International.
A licensed pastor since 2017, Heidi has served in many capacities in her local church and the Foursquare denomination. She is recognized as a prayer warrior, evangelist, nonpartisan leader and champion of all aspects of the Foursquare movement.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in international business management from the UCSG University in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University. Heidi is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Consistent with Eduardo’s observation, Heidi says the aspect of her board service that surprised her was how it’s a “ministry of the knee.” Heidi says members invest considerable prayer in their service, and the level of commitment, passion and responsibility involved relies on the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
“Although it might not be seen as direct care, the directors’ care impacts Foursquare at all levels: local, national and global,” Heidi states. “The board is stewarding and discerning what the Spirit is showing the church beyond this generation.
“Members can pray by name for our executive leaders and each director,” she continues. “There is a greater scope of spiritual warfare at this level, and prayers are needed for each individual and the group as a whole.”
She and her husband, George, have been married for more than 22 years and have three children.
