Foursquare General Supervisor Tammy Dunahoo, President Glenn C. Burris Jr. and the board of directors are pleased to announce that Dr. Robb Hattem has accepted the appointment as Northeast District Supervisor. His term of service will begin November 1.

Since the inception of the Northeast District in 2009, Robb has served as missional ministries director and has worked extensively in the areas of pastoral care, church health and church multiplication. Previously, he was supervisor of the Gold Coast District in Central California for seven years and lead pastor of New Life Foursquare Church in Santa Barbara, Calif., for 15 years.

In their 20 years of ministry, Robb and his wife, Janet, have helped plant churches in the U.S. and have also traveled extensively internationally where they have engaged local pastors in training and leadership development. They have been married for 34 years and have two adult children.

Robb is a 2006 graduate of Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, Wash.; he received a doctor of ministry degree in church multiplication and leadership development. In a communiqué to Northeast District ministers, Tammy Dunahoo explained the selection process that led to the confirmation of Robb Hattem. She stated that Northeast District divisional superintendents were instrumental in the discussion regarding who the next supervisor would be.

“Fully enfranchised leaders spoke into the process,” she said. These leaders reviewed and made recommendations regarding the supervisor profile as it relates to current district realities. They also gave input regarding the characteristics they believe are most important to the supervisor role. Each leader submitted recommendations, and it was from these names that final candidates were selected.

District superintendents and the district advisory council joined the general supervisor and President Glenn Burris to interview candidates. That group then made a final recommendation to the board of directors.

Robb Hattem was confirmed and will begin his term of service on November 1, when the current district supervisor Dr. Jim Scott assumes his new role as director of Foursquare Missions International.

“It has been our confidence that, as in the Book of Acts, the Holy Spirit would speak and the people of God would bear witness to His leading,” Jim Scott told district leaders. “We praise God for His confirming word in appointing Robb and Janet as the supervisors of the Northeast District!”

Tammy Dunahoo affirmed the selection of Robb Hattem and added, “Robb and Janet have gained the love and respect of the Northeast District pastors and leaders.” She expressed gratitude to the district council and divisional superintendents for their wisdom and partnership in the selection process.

“We are overwhelmed with both joy and soberness,” Robb said of the new appointment. “Janet and I are committed to serving and leading our pastors and churches to the best of our ability.” He asked that district pastors pray for them as they begin this new season of leadership. “May all that we do together in the days to come bring great glory to Jesus’ Name,” Robb said.
