More than 500 pastors and leaders from across the U.S. and around the world came together for Conexión Hispana 2015—kicking off Foursquare Connection 2015 in Anaheim, Calif.—to worship the Lord and connect in their native language, Español.
Led by Daniel Prieto—chairman of the National Hispanic Commission, missional coach, and Hispanic multiplication coordinator—participants came together to worship God, hear His Word and catch a vision for Foursquare’s growing Hispanic movement.
It was an excellent time of blessing, with the Dios Restaura (God Restores) worship team leading attendees into God’s presence with Latin sounds that were representative of the cultures present. Throughout the event, the Holy Spirit was given freedom to minister His love and grace.
President Glenn Burris Jr. delivered an inspiring message about working together as a team, based on John 20:21-22. Daniel Prieto exhorted pastors to create a church culture that intentionally sends prepared leaders to fulfill God’s calling on their lives rather than trying to prevent them from leaving their congregations.
Juan M. Vallejo, district supervisor of the Distrito Hispano del Suroeste (Southwestern Hispanic District), shared about being “sent” as Jesus was. He reminded leaders that the Holy Spirit is the source of their identity: “It is with the power and authority of God that we’re going to fulfill the mission [of God],” he asserted.

General Supervisor Tammy Dunahoo shared a powerful word for those under 35 years of age—she said they should not consider themselves the next generation, but the generation of today. They are ready right now to use the tools God has already equipped them with to reach today’s youth. The current generation, she said, is responsible for empowering today’s youth to bring the gospel to their generation.
