Encouragement is God calling upon us to do for others what He does for us.

As Jesus was with us, and then God sent the Holy Spirit to be with us, so we are to be with one another. We are to walk alongside one another through life’s ups and downs, which requires a willingness. This act is a large part of the ministry of encouragement.

This gift of exhortation is characterized by consistency in relationships. God told us, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5, NKJV), and we are to model Him in all our relationships. Consistency doesn’t mean we always have the answers or solutions for someone else, but that our presence with them is consistently an encouragement and comfort.

Encouragement is not complicated, but it is a great challenge, and God is calling each one of us to encourage one another.

Prayer Points

  • Pray for the eyes to see those around us who could use encouragement.
  • Pray for the grace to walk alongside others, and be present with them and whatever they are going through.
  • Pray that we would be open to receiving encouragement from others.

Thank You for Praying With Us

On behalf of the Foursquare Global Council and The Foursquare Church, thank you for joining with us for 21 Days of Prayer + Fasting. We have seen a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit these past three weeks.

In 1 Peter 3:12 we read that the ears of the Lord are open to the prayers of the righteous. The Lord has heard our intercessions, and now our global cities need to see the wonders of God and experience the joy of prayer just as the early church did.

Later this year, the Foursquare Global Council will prepare to launch the new Global Prayer Network. This network will bring the entire Foursquare family together in intercessory prayer against the forces of evil and hate, believing God for the transformation of nations and unreached peoples of our world. Expect to hear more about the Global Prayer Network in the coming weeks. Unite with us to see Him at work in the coming months, and may God bless your ministry.

Sincerely,

Leslie Keegel
Chair, Foursquare Global Council

Glenn Burris Jr.
