If we remain in Jesus, He is able produce good fruit in our lives— good works, blessings and godly relationships. His divine vine of goodness and salvation unites us as a people to become one in Him and in our mission.
Today’s Scripture
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”

“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

Prayer + Reflection
- Let’s pray: “Jesus, help those who are lost discover the beautiful redemptive relationship You have made available to them through Your sacrifice. Open their eyes to Your goodness.”
- “Jesus, help our communities carry Your goodness as a collective community that shines brightly.”
- “Jesus, help our churches continue to be built with Your togetherness, so that You can live within us by Your Spirit.”
Family Moment
Take a field trip! It could be to the front yard, backyard, local park (wherever there are trees/ bushes). Gather around the tree or bush and point out the branches. Invite your kids to discover what the branches are connected to. Share: “If I pulled off this branch, could it still produce the flower or fruit? No! That’s how we are connected to God.” Read John 15:1-8. We are the branch connected to Jesus. What does it mean to bear fruit? How do we “remain in” Jesus?
