Foursquare Lent resources for families + churches

These resources from Foursquare NextGen, made possible by the Cornerstone Project, will help churches and families prepare for Easter by celebrating Lent.

For over 1,000 years, Christians around the world have prepared for Easter Sunday by fasting, praying and giving during the season of Lent, the 40 days leading up to Easter. Families and churches can help the next generation participate in this tradition through these resources developed by the Cornerstone Project with Foursquare NextGen.

Churches can use the Lent Devotionals to incorporate the subject of Lent into their Sunday morning NextGen services during the six weeks of Lent. Each devotional includes material for both preschool and elementary-age students, along with a bonus activity or discussion prompt. These devotionals are short, supplemental additions to incorporate the subject of Lent into your Sunday morning NextGen teaching.

The Conversation + Action Cards for Lent are a creative tool for families to learn about and celebrate Lent at home. The card deck includes themed cards on fasting, giving and praying. Each themed card contains a Scripture verse to read, a reflection question, an action and a prayer.

The deck also includes a number of bonus Scripture cards telling the Easter story to read and reflect on during the Lenten season. The download also includes a guide for families on how to use the cards.

These are free resources intended to be shared with families in your church, small group or classroom, and are available in both English and Spanish.
