The Foursquare Church will come together in Atlanta May 31-June 3, 2010, for the denomination’s annual convention, Foursquare Connection 2010. As the name implies, the church gathers together to connect.
A key new way to meet, greet and enjoy the company of one another will happen on Wednesday night—instead of an evening session, there will be a special time to connect with others in the Foursquare family. It’s an opportunity for leaders to find peers, ministries and resources that may enhance their own ministry experience.
The connection opportunities will be organized in three formats at three different times:
Committees (5-7 p.m.)
Existing Foursquare committees (such as councils, advisory teams, national reps and others) will meet by invitation only to connect and, in a few cases, take care of business items. These groups may share a meal or meet over a cup of coffee.
Conversations (7-9 p.m.)
Assorted affinity groups will gather for casual conversation with a facilitator and a team of leaders. This will be an opportunity to share best practices and learn from others doing similar work. Receptions (9-11 p.m.)
Finally, there will be late night receptions with an “open house” feel hosted by ministries or specific groups. These meet-and-greet times will likely feature refreshments and include ministries such as ForeRunners, Foursquare Foundation and Life Pacific College.
All three connection opportunities will help bring the Foursquare family together, allowing for more personal and intentional networking and relationship building.
