Co-op Connects Families to Foursquare

At the Woodlawn Swap n Play, you can frequently find Beth Ivester building relationships with local families.

Beth is the director of this initiative, which provides a safe play space and an opportunity for families to trade out toys and swap stories with other parents. This family-centric outreach is part of how The Oregon Community (Portland North Foursquare Church) in Portland, Ore., is engaging the people in their neighborhood.

By meeting a need in the area and fostering a community atmosphere among those who participate in the program, Woodlawn Swap n Play has become a door through which families are finding their way into the local church.
