Freda Lindsay, who co-founded Christ For The Nations Institute in 1970 with her late-husband Gordon, has died. She was 95.

According to The Dallas Morning News, her death was confirmed by school officials, but they have yet to provide details.

Affectionately known as “mom” by the more than 32,000 students who have gone through Christ For The Nations Institute, Freda served as president of the school for 14 years. She contributed to New Spirit-filled Life Bible by former Foursquare President Jack Hayford.

Freda was born April 18, 1914. Her husband Gordan died in 1973, three years after founding the global ministry, which is based out of Dallas.

Freda’s son, Dennis, is currently president of CFTN.
