On Monday, October 22, a renaming ceremony was conducted at the former Park-Sunset Building, which houses the central offices of The Foursquare Church. The building is now officially “The Rolf K. McPherson Building.” Attending this memorable event were staff from the central offices, members of the international board of directors, and various other leaders in The Foursquare Church.

Dr. Rolf K. McPherson, for whom the building is named, is the son of Foursquare’s founder, Aimee Semple McPherson; he served The Foursquare Church as president for more than four decades and continues as president emeritus. In 1977, during Dr. McPherson’s tenure as president, the office building was purchased for $2.8 million.

President Jack Hayford and the board of directors are immensely grateful for Dr. McPherson’s leadership and wholeheartedly endorse the renaming of the office building as an appropriate honor for a man who has given his entire life to advancing the Kingdom of God and who has tirelessly served The Foursquare Church. The Rolf K. McPherson Building will be a lasting testimonial of the grace of God that has been so lavishly bestowed upon The Foursquare Church.
