Wow! How exciting that we have the privilege to serve this great generation. My heart beats with a passion for the young people of this world, and I am convinced that they have an extreme calling on their lives and God wants to use them to usher in a fresh outpouring of His spirit. It says in Acts 2:17,21:

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams … And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”

In 2005, the Lord gave us clear instructions on what we were to provide from the National Foursquare NextGen Ministries. The vision is broken down into three areas:

Building Community – Building Leaders – Releasing the Next Generation

Healthy community is what the next generation values, and not only do they value this, but so does God. It says in Hebrews 10:25: “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Building leaders is not an option for us; it is a requirement!. We need to disciple and prepare them to fulfill their God given destiny. We need to transmit the passion that God has for this generation and the leaders that lead them. It says in Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

God has been preparing this generation for such a time like this, and we are called to train and equip them for their moment of action.

Releasing the next generation is one of the most rewarding things a leader can do in this world. Today’s young people are capable of making a world of a difference! I believe we are called to release them in the Body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission. It says in Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Please continue to pray and serve the next generation. They need you, so they can fulfill their destiny in this world.
