Jon and Fawn Cobler, pastors of The Church of Living Water (Olympia Foursquare Church) in Olympia, Wash., know the many ways that discipleship can be challenging. In their years of ministry together—particularly the last few, when the pandemic made interactions more scarce and precious—Jon and Fawn discovered that relational joy based on covenant love is crucial to creating a transforming, nurturing atmosphere with other believers in small groups, congregations and even just friendships.
