As of the last census, around 50 percent of the U.S. population is single. In addition to that, within the church, females far outnumber men. This means that within our congregations, statistically, there are quite a few singles and many single women (some of whom may want to become leaders). How can we serve these singles? How can we support women leaders in the local church? In this workshop, first presented at Foursquare Connection 2024, Pastors Whitney Lewellyn and Jennifer Thigpenn discuss how the local church can better serve singles, women leaders and single women in leadership positions. They look at these issues from both a theological and practical perspective as they help local churches be better equipped to serve singles and women leaders.
