While the baptism with the Holy Spirit is an essential part of our Foursquare Pentecostal ethos, it can be hard to lead kids and youth into the baptism in a way that doesn’t feel coercive or weird. In this workshop, first presented at Foursquare Connection 2026, a panel of NextGen leaders shares their experiences and ideas for doing this well.
The panel is led by Natalie Werking and includes Emily Plater, Yaseer and Monique Handall, Andy Sloan, Stacy Collins and Kimberly Dirmann. They answer questions including: Why does this matter? What are practical ways you can incorporate the Holy Spirit into your kids’ and youth ministry? Practically, what does it look like to lead kids into Holy Spirit baptism? How do we help young people recognize and respond to the work of the Holy Spirit at each age?
