Foursquare President Glenn C. Burris Jr. and the board of directors are pleased to announce that Adam Davidson has been appointed to the role of vice president of operations, chief operating officer (COO) of The Foursquare Church.

Moving to this position from his previous role of director of operations, Adam will be responsible for leading Foursquare’s central office and helping the national church fulfill its vision and goals. At age 43, he is the youngest of Foursquare’s five vice presidents.

Since becoming a Foursquare minister in 1994, Adam has served as a church planter, administrator, associate pastor, executive pastor, district administrator, camp director and national church administrator. He has earned a Master of Arts in strategic leadership from Life Pacific College (also known as LIFE Bible College).

With a business degree from Ball State University, Adam also has a background in sales, marketing, business development, finance, human resources and operations management. Along with Chief Financial Officer Ron Thigpenn, Adam was instrumental in the financial planning and management that has been part of Foursquare’s Reimagine realignment process .

“The vice president of operations plays a significant leadership role in aligning our central office operations to Foursquare’s vision and mission, and we believe Adam’s gifts and experience have given him a unique place of service within Foursquare,” says Foursquare President Glenn Burris Jr. on behalf of the Foursquare board of directors. “His local church, district and national experience, coupled with continued learning, have placed Adam deep inside the story that God is writing within The Foursquare Church.”

Among his responsibilities as COO will be providing strategic leadership; helping lead the formulation of Foursquare’s annual operating plan; monitoring demographic, legal and church trends; and overseeing ongoing improvements in information management to ensure timely and effective decision-making and communication.

Adam is married to Rose Mary, and they have four children: Ryan (15); Kyle (13); Lucas (4); and Isabella (2). The family is a part of The Church On The Way Santa Clarita, in Santa Clarita, Calif., where Adam and Rose Mary are leaders with the local young adult ministry.  

In his new executive leadership role, Adam joins four other Foursquare vice presidents. Tammy Dunahoo is general supervisor and vice president of U.S. operations; Jim Scott is director of Foursquare Missions International and vice president of global operations; Sterling Brackett is corporate secretary and vice president of corporate affairs; and Ron Thigpenn is chief financial officer (CFO).
